Code of Practice

General Principles

CPB Group is committed to the delivery of best practice training and assessment services within the Vocational Education and Training sector. This Code of Practice has been developed and adopted by CPB Group to ensure that all the commitments provided are maintained and is a guideline for our processes, to be viewed as a minimum for good operating procedures.

Provision of Services

CPB Group has established policies and procedures which maintain professional standards of excellence in the delivery of training and assessment services to clients, and which safeguard the welfare and interests of students, trainees and clients.

CPB Group provides learning environments that are conducive to successful training outcomes. All trainers employed are suitably qualified and experienced in the training elements being delivered.

CPB Group is committed to access and equity principles and provides flexible learning options and assessment methodologies to facilitate equal opportunity for all clients.

Enrolment Procedures

Eligible applicants seeking to enrol in CPB Group training courses shall be treated fairly and equitably at all times. Admission to courses shall be consistent with the requirements of the training products and services selected. Selection decisions shall be fair and comply with EEO legislation.

Training Delivery Methods

CPB Group learning environments shall be maintained in a safe condition, conducive to adult learning. All necessary learning tools and resources shall be provided to ensure best practice standards of delivery are maintained.

CPB Group has management policies that require all trainers to be appropriately qualified and experienced in the training elements to be delivered.

Where external trainers are contracted to provide training on behalf of CPB Group the same requirements apply.

CPB Group employees in a training capacity will be provided with opportunities to gain this qualification where they may require upgrading of skills.

Marketing of Services

CPB Group will advertise and market products and services in an ethical manner to ensure that the professional standards expected of CPB Group are maintained and its training products, services and outcomes are accurately represented.

Marketing is conducted in such a manner as to ensure all interested parties are treated fairly, no false or misleading statements are made and to ensure that CPB Group accurately represents recognised training products and services to prospective clients.

CPB Group will use registered trademarks and phrases in accordance with State Training Board and Recognition Authority requirements.

Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)

CPB Group provides full assessment of prior learning (RPL/RCC) and credit transfer of established competencies to ensure that previous learning is formally recognised.

Complaints and Appeals Procedure

CPB Group provides all clients with access to fair and equitable complaints and appeals processes. Procedures are outlined to all clients accessing CPB Group training services. Copies of the Complaints and Appeals Procedure are available on request.

Certification

Nationally recognised Statements of Attainment and qualifications are issued upon completion of required outcomes in accordance with the Australian Qualifications Framework and AQTF standards guidelines.

Student Welfare and Guidance Services

CPB Group is committed to its clients and provides accurate, relevant and current information on learner support and guidance services prior to the commencement of training services. .

Fees and Charges

A deposit or full course fees are payable upon acceptance of enrolment. Refunds shall be made in full providing a minimum of 5 days notice of withdrawal is given. Late cancellation or non attendance may result in forfeiture of part or all of fees paid according to the Refund Policy contained in the Terms and Conditions.

Privacy of Information

CPB Group collects personal information including Unique Student Identifier (USI) details for the sole purpose of course enrolment and training record purposes. Information may be used by CPB Group for marketing and research purposes. The information collected will not be disclosed to another party without the express permission of the provider or where required for statistical reporting to government agencies.

CPB Group keeps complete and accurate records of attendance, payment and training evidence which are kept secure and retained for 30 years as prescribed in Standards for Registered Training Organisations 2015.
